Hipstercrite Life

Nothing

Sometimes I just don’t feel like writing.

Do you ever feel that way?

Like your brain is covered in packing material and you just can’t seem to dig her out?

I got a drawing tablet. I don’t really know what to do with it.

I made this.

It sucks.

Im with you. Some days the best you can do is write, “I can’t write today!” So at least you did that. Plus you got all arty n stuff.

I feel like that too much sometimes, it seems. I’ve done a few things to help me write, though.

A few weeks ago, I was flipping through old children’s books on Google books and creating “found” poetry. Just something to get my mind thinking about words and ideas.

Last night, I rambled on my blog. It actually turned out somewhat interesting (or ridiculous depending on how you look at it).

I try to write something. Anything every day. Even if it’s just a phrase or snippet.

Got to keep them words flowing.

Thanks, Dale. You’re right. When I feel this way, what comes out is gibberish though! What is a girl to do?

I have not felt that way yet, but I am only 8 days deep into this journey. I would imagine that I may get to this point 2 or 3 weeks after just focusing strictly on fitness, though. I like that you are writing about being uninspired, because I can imagine that writing everyday the fount would eventually dry up. Good luck to getting your muse back!

Thanks, Lauren! Being sick definitely doesn’t help in the creative dept. Good luck with your writing!
