Aerogarden is the perfect gift for the crazy plant person in your life

Are you a crazy plant lady or dude? Read further.

I rarely do sponsored posts because I’m not a fancy-ass influencer, but once in awhile the stars align and I’m able to work with a cool brand who makes cool products and who doesn’t seem to care that I’m not a fancy-ass influencer.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve developed a deep love for plants and gardening. It’s something that happens when you enter your 30s and don’t have children. You begin to see plants as your children, and the next thing you know your house is filled with 75 plants, AND 75 cats, and you find yourself leaving parties early so you can feed all 150 of your babies.

I currently live in a yard-less townhouse, in an area that has robust winters, so I get my plant fix by placing my plant babies around the living room and kitchen. When the opportunity presented itself to work with Aerogarden, I was super stoked.

Aerogarden Harvest

I seriously love this product.

The Aerogarden Harvest is super easy to use–it took me about 10 minutes to set up. All you do is fill the bowl with water, put your seed pods in the bowl and then watch those little cute babies grow. Not to brag, but I’ve discovered that I have a little bit of a green thumb, but if you’re the sort of person that can’t keep a plant alive, this might be the perfect product for you. With its built-in light and watering system, all you have to do is set it up and forget about it. (The Harvest will let you know when water needs refilling or lights need replacing.)

Aerogarden herb seed kit

Aerogarden sent me the Harvest model, which is enables you to grow up to 6 plants 5X faster than soil. You can grow plants up to 12″, so it’s perfect for herbs, lettuces and tomatoes. My lil sprouts are in the process of waking up and entering the world, but you can imagine how adorable these little cuties will be. I can’t wait to be growing beautiful plants inside while I stare wistfully out the window at the cold, unforgiving winters of Colorado.

My favorite part of the Aerogarden Harvest is that close-up, when the light is on, it kind of look like Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Can’t you just imagine tiny aliens popping out of this?

This means something.

Ok, a couple of other cool things about Aerogarden. They offer a germination guarantee, which means–in legalese–their warranty covers defects in materials, workmanship and germination of seeds for one year from date of purchase from an authorized Aerogarden retailer. In other words: They’re super cool about making sure you have a great experience with your garden.

They also offer a slew of different gardening systems, from the tiny Sprout that grow 3 plants to the Farm XL that grows up to 24 plants. Some of their gardens come in cool colors, like coral or sage, or stainless steel. AND, you can buy a bunch of different seed kits, from shishito peppers to Southern greens, bok choi to zinnias.

I’ll keep you posted on my plant growing. I’m already in love with this product, and if you’re trying to figure out what to get the crazy plant mama or plant papa in your life, this is the perfect holiday gift. Aerogarden is currently offering 20-35% off on their online store. Yay!
