SXSW is fast approaching and everyone is talkin’ about their plans.
I haven’t RSVP’d for a single party.
This time of year equally attracts me and repels me. The prospects of running into old friends, seeing informative films, meeting interesting folks and watching Dave Foley piss on a wall make me giddy. The knowing that thousands upon thousands of assholes will also be piling into town, causing traffic, taking our parking spots and playing shitty music SCARES THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF ME.
I don’t know how I feel right now.

I equally love and loathe SXSW. I hate the way the entire city shuts down and becomes impossible to navigate. But I love the people that come and discover how great our city is. Unlike some assholes (that dare to call themselves Austinites!!) I am happy to show around new people and help them discover their favorite places to eat, drink, or just chill and regroup. However, it is a hella busy time. I swear I am going to need a clone this year. I hope that technology has been perfected……
